Lamar Hunt has selected his best sermons for this CD. They are drawn from over 57 years of Christian ministry. The sermons were preached in Army chapels, during combat, in various military deployments, and in civilian churches. They cover the Church year and are richly illustrated. They are in outline/manuscript format, and average 1,400 words each. The sermons open in MS Word or Adobe Acrobat (PDF).

Hello God! is a book of daily devotions drawn from the author's over 50 years of Christian ministry, 30 of which were on active duty in the US Army. There are 377 devotions, all anecdotal, evangelical, and Biblical. Pastors and Speakers will find the book to be a gold mine of resources for sermons and other speeches.
Hello God experiences? The sudden and thrilling new insight! Those "Oh, yeah, Lord, I get it" moments!
Hello God happenings are those times when you are battered by adversity, overwhelmed by trivia, or lost from meaning, and quite unexpectedly you see the hand of God. You learn. You grow.
Many of the devotions in this book were Hello God experiences for me. I hope and pray that each one of them will be the same for you.
I pray that you will be struck by, and confronted with, the awesome reality of God's presence and His love and grace in your daily life.
My evangelical faith and ecumenical spirit shape these devotions. I don't believe that those values are antithetical. They have been tested overseas and at home, in every conceivable context, and during my 50 years of Ordained Ministry.
Eleven special subject devotions add to the 366 regular devotions for a total of 377.

Touching the Hand of Jesus traces the author's call to ministry, his chaplain ministry in combat in Vietnam, and his spiritual journey.
Somehow, after Jesus appeared to the Disciples on Easter Sunday night, the Disciples found Thomas.
As the Disciples met behind closed doors for fear of the authorities,
Jesus "appeared" in their midst. He showed them His hands.
Thomas begins to tremble.
"I heard what you said, Thomas."
Embarrassed and ashamed, Thomas doesn't know how to handle this.
"Come over here, Thomas."
"That's okay, Lord. I'm sorry for popping off.
You know my mouth. I know I've got it coming."
"I am not rebuking you, Thomas. I want to help you believe.
And I am willing to do whatever it takes to help you do so.
So reach your finger here and stick it into the hole in my hand.
Then stick your hand into the hole in my side."
(Tears are now streaming down Thomas' face,
and he is weeping softly.)
"I can't do it, Lord. I just can't do it. Please don't make me."
"It's okay, Thomas. Go ahead. Do it, and no longer doubt, but believe."
So Thomas places his finger into the hole in Jesus' hand and thrusts his hand into the gash in Jesus' side.
Then, falling down, hugging Jesus' legs, choking back heavy sobs, Thomas cries, "My Lord, and my God" (John 20). The author has touched the hand of Jesus through faith, and he prays that you will too.

The cantata takes about 40 minutes to perform, is appropriate for a volunteer choir, and can be performed with piano only.
